[April Showers] ☆ [2013]

24; April Showers
To celebrate the spring season, the Deities have decided to make it raaaaaaain...in the form of photographs. Citizens will find, during random moments of the day, pictures of their lives (in and out of the City) pouring down from the sky, some more memorable than others, some more incriminating than others.

☆ Monetary System Conversions

MONEY MATTERS

Trying to keep track of characters' finances is challenging to say the least, which is... why I usually avoid it. But now and then either a) someone else will mention it, or b) I'll get bored and overambitious, and I'll need to put a price on things. Of course that's why I have the official writeup bookmarked for easy reference, but I find it a little hard to parse because... well, let's face it, I really suck at math. So I put together this little guide for my own benefit, then decided what the hell, I may as well leave it public. Since the info's just pulled from the game info it's not like I'm really headcanoning my math, though I do have some speculations to share.

Cut for a psychotically long breakdown of the Polychromatic money system... )

I don't know if that will ever help (or be seen by!) anyone but me, but that's okay. As a sidenote, I personally (and YOUR OPINION MAY VARY) tend to ballpark 1 orange as about $2... meaning rent is about $2,000 (which is pretty near to rent in a 2-bedroom in my area,) and the used books in my math example work out to $5, $6, and $12 respectively. This is in no way an official figure, just how I tend to come up with numbers when I have to.
